piano lessons in malta

I offer private piano lessons in Malta for children, teens and adults from my studio at The Box – A Creative Arts Space in Mosta. My lessons are creative, supportive and tailored to each student, helping them build strong musical skills and a lasting love for music.

A creative and enjoyable way to learn

My lessons go beyond simply reading notes from the page. I use games, improvisation, rhythm activities, technology and creative exercises to help students become confident, well-rounded musicians.

I am the only Piano Safari teacher currently listed in Malta and I have been using the Piano Safari method for 8 years. Piano Safari is a creative, research-based approach that develops technique, reading, listening, and improvisation together from the earliest stages.

Studio life and student performances

I regularly share teaching moments, studio activities and student performances through my private studio Facebook group. This gives families a glimpse into the creative life of the studio and the supportive environment in which students learn, grow and perform.

“He was so happy after the lesson that as soon as he came home he showed me how to read music. He enjoys class so much ... thanks to the way you teach!!! Thank you for making the lessons fun and interesting. Michael is really happy and is always looking forward to the lesson.” - Iren Azzopardi

What students learn

Students in my studio develop a wide range of musical skills, including piano technique, note reading, rhythm, listening, theory, improvisation and musical confidence. Lessons are tailored to the individual student and students are welcome to work towards Trinity College exams if that suits their goals, though exams are always optional.

“I wanted to sincerely thank you for all the care you put into teaching Emily. Your dedication means so much to us and we’re so grateful for the positive influence you’ve had on her musical journey. Yesterday's recital was fantastic and it’s clear that your hard work and passion are truly reflected in her progress. Thank you for everything you do! ” - Nina Swaine
